Dr Hugh O’Connor is a senior obstetrician and gynaecologist. Hugh practises obstetrics at the Coombe hospital and gynaecology at St. James’s hospital, the Beacon hospital and Blackrock clinic. He is also a founder of the HOC clinic.

Hugh has over 25 years’ experience as a consultant in Dublin, specialising in high risk obstetrics, medical problems in pregnancy, IVF pregnancy including donor egg, vbac and multiple pregnancy. Care is tailored to the individual needs. Hugh has a busy gynaecological practise focusing on endometriosis, fibroids, surgery for fertility and recurrent miscarriage.

The HOC clinic is a first in Ireland, incorporating among other things an Emsella chair, an Emfemme device and Emsculpt neo. These devices enhance recovery from some of the physical effects of pregnancy. They are also useful in general gynaecological practise and menopause care.

Hugh qualified from Trinity College Dublin and trained in London and Oxford.
